This was our first experience at the Garden House Restaurant.We were greeted, seated and served by one of the owners (Tara). She was friendly and helped us choose the best meal for appetite. Sam (Chef and other owner) prepared two beautiful Schnitzel meals. One with mushroom gravy and one without. Both made in the traditional way. Sam, came out to see how our meal was, which is a rare occurrence in the culinary field. Thank you for a great meal made even more special with the ambiance of the establishment.

Had the loveliest dinner last night at the cute and delightful Garden House Restaurant! Tara was an amazing host, so friendly and attentive, in a lovely relaxed way! My Chef Salad was fresh and delicious! My husbands Lamb Chops were perfectly cooked and so moist and flavourful! My one daughters Chicken Souvlaki platter was moist and the tzasiki was amazing! My other daughter said her Ceasar Salad (with added chicken) was the BEST ceasar salad she has EVER had! The croutons were garlic toast bits....so genious! The patio is so cute and picture worthy it just has to be experienced! We had the besr time! We will be back again next summer when we visit again!

The food was authentic and portions were generous. The owners lived in Germany and moved to Vancouver but missed the small town vibe so they ended up moving to Penticton and opened the Garden House Restaurant. We ordered the schnitzel with spatzle and the lamb Slouvaki. I haven’t had spatzle since my trip to Germany several years ago and it was exactly like I remembered it. Both dishes were flavourful and great texture. Don’t sleep on that mushroom sauce! It was so good we almost licked the plate It was super cold when we went so didn’t get to experience the outdoor space. Loved the decor and unique design of the outdoor space, so we will definitely be back when we can dine outside and try more things on their wide menu.

The food was excellent. Although , the service was slow due to a high volume of customers and only one server. She was very kind . I highly recommend the schnitzel with mushroom sauce for a perfect European-style meal.

Amazing German cuisine, we were a group of 5 celebrating a birthday. All of our meals were deliciously home cooked & the service was top notch. We will definitely be back & will rave this diamond in the rough to many others!!

Coming from Calgary, this is one of the best food I’ve ever tasted and it is very filling. Portions are good and very filling. The taste is extravagant. Probably my favourite spot in Penticton!
